AWESOME Showing from MHC—WAY TO GO!!!!
I was not aware we had this kind of support in people going to DC. I am in agreement with this movement 100%.

    Patrick,
Awesome photo work and journalism. I am sure this is what our founding fathers new what would happen thus giving us the right to assemble peacefully. We can make a difference, each one of us. Keep up the good work.

Hooray!!! For everyone who attended this rally! God bless you. I love my country but I’m 200% disgusted with 95+% of our elected “leaders”. Where is the leadership for a truly constituional gov’t…other than Ron Paul and a very few others. Bailouts, “stimulus” pkg, Cap n Trade, Gov’t Motors, Goldman Sachs looting of the treasury, Bush Obama, what’s the difference…The founders would be disgusted with all the “career” politicians, or should i say, “dealmakers”. Thank you cousin Patrick. My hearty appreciation to you and all who attended this truly patriotic event. James Keough

You have to wonder where all the outrage was over big spending when Bush was running things, and there was a Republican Congress. Do you think this is all political?? Hmmm. Bush spent money like a drunken sailor. Republicans true to their message agree with that, which is why most of my Republican friends agree. So why the sudden outrage now? Where were the marches on Washington then?
There’s nothing wrong with expressing ideas, as long as the messenger remains consistent.

I think maybe you just didn’t see the concern or maybe not looking for it then. There was in fact a very vocal opposition to government spending among conservatives at that time as well.

Granted, it was not as worrying, nor as vocal, as what you are hearing now, as the problem has been so drastically and so enthusiastically compunded by Obama and congress. Also, there is a grave concern about the effectiveness of the plans being proposed at this time – Health Care, Cap and Trade. These appear to be sure to fail and cost the tax payers dearly.

    Mark,

There absolutely was outrage and serious concern on the conservative side with the BIG SPENDING of the BUSH administration. Please don’t confuse Country Club “elitist” Republicans with grassroots Conservatives on this issue. I agree 100% that the Bush Administration and the Republican controlled congress were spending our tax dollars like…”drunken sailors” – that is essentially what caused them to loose their majority in both houses and the Presidency. Conservatives are NOT looking for Democrat “Light” – we are looking to our congressional representatives to follow the Constitution of the United States. It’s that simple! The Republicans were NOT doing this and they got voted out. The Tea Party movement is trying to put a stop to the United States government taking over the private sector. If you look the word Socialism up in the dictionary this is what you will get.

“Any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods
2 a : a system of society or group living in which there is no private property b : a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state”

Socialism is what’s happening right under our noses. First it’s the incremental take-over of the banking industry, then big companies like General Motors and of course the used car industry with the Clunker program…then Health Care, then…we blink and BIG GOVERNMENT is telling us how to live our lives, taxing us to death to pay for all these new government programs, outlawing right to bear arms (just a matter of time) and then..peaceful assembly, what cars to drive, what schools our kids can go to, where we can worship and if we continue to remain silent and complacent all bets are off for what was once a very productive American capitalistic economic system and our form of representative government that used to be a Republic NOT a Socialistic state run by Obama the Messiah. This grassroots movement is about addressing the serious issues facing this country. It’s that simple! Sure…the media (and the left) wants to make this a race issue, BUT that my friend is a diversion to the real problems facing our great nation.

We would have loved to attend, but were unable. I had hoped to follow it on TV news, but guess what…. no coverage, even FOX with the exception of Glen Beck didn’t cover it. Now I know that’s real power. Things need to change. We can start by cancelling our subscriptions to Liberal newspapers, we’ve given the Atlanta Journal the boot.
